US Claims to Have Attacked 5,000 Targets in Iran, Including Destroying 60 Ships
JAKARTA - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said US forces had attacked more than 5,500 targets inside Iran, including more than 60 ships.
CENTCOM commander, Admiral Brad Cooper said the attack used "various precision weapons."
"US combat power is increasing. Iranian combat power is decreasing," Cooper said in a video press release on Wednesday, March 11 local time, quoted from NBC News.
"And we remain focused on the very clear military objective of eliminating Iran's ability to project power against America and its neighbors," he continued.
Cooper said that only on Tuesday, March 10, US forces carried out attacks almost every hour targeting various locations and directions towards Iran. "Four ships were destroyed," he said.
He also claimed that Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting US-Israeli military assets in the Middle East had decreased in the last 24 hours. "Since the first 24 hours of this campaign," he said.
