Held at NICE PIK 2, Java Jazz Festival 2026 Janjikam Various Exploration and Easier Access to Venue

JAKARTA - myBCA International Java Jazz Festival (JJF) 2026 is confirmed to take place at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) PIK 2 on May 29 - 31.

Dewi Gontha, President Director of PT Java Festival Production as the organizer, said that his party was aware that the change of venue (venue) of the event to NICE PIK 2 raised many questions among the audience.

But behind the many questions, Dewi wants to make sure that this year's event will explore many things, given that the new venue used is much wider than in previous years.

"As is known, this year we moved to NICE. This is a very big move (step) and we have to do it, so that we can do something better, so that we can explore a larger space," Dewi said in a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 11.

Not only music performances, later JJF will utilize the vastness of the venue with various other activations that can be enjoyed by the audience who come.

"There are many things in Java Jazz tomorrow that we also show that are not just music. Why do we make it? Because suddenly we have a space to invite third parties," said Dewi. "For example, we have a collaboration with the Museum of Toys where we will present a design competition, which also works with PHR (Records)."

In addition, Dewi also responded to several complaints that considered this year's venue to be further away from the center of Jakarta, compared to previous years.

"There are many things that will definitely be questioned regarding how to get there and others. To be honest, if I can explain a little, we have thought about all of this. We have worked with BBG (Bluebird Group) to hold a shuttle, even though it is limited but there is. We also cooperate with TransJakarta which will provide a shuttle," said Dewi.

"We also know that there is a commuter line that can reach the airport (Soekarno Hatta), then we are now approaching third parties to (provide) a shuttle from the commuter line at the airport to be able to go to the venue," added Dewi. "So all of this we hear. Comments from friends on social media, we are also trying to find solutions. This should be a more pleasant experience."

So far, JJF 2026 has also announced a lineup of confirmed performances at the new venue. The three special shows presented are Jon Batiste, Ella Mai, and wave to earth.

Other international performers who have also been confirmed include Dave Koz & the Summer Horns, Lisa Simone, Thee Sacred Soul, Close Counters, Billyrrom, Niko Niko Tan Tan, Citrus Sun, Justin Lee Schultz, JustKing Jones, Yufu, Earth Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, Incognito, and others.

Meanwhile, performers from within the country include Slank, RAN, Bilal Indrajaya, Ziva Magnolya, Wijaya 80, The Groove feat. Tiara Effendy, Rafi Sudirman feat. Rara Sudirman, and many more.

The further lineup and other activations that will also be presented at the myBCA International Java Jazz Festival 2026 will be informed gradually.
