BRI prepares cash money of Rp. 25 trillion during the 2026 Idulfitri holiday

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) has prepared cash of Rp25 trillion during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period.

For your information, the cash money comes from the balance of the BRI ratas and additional BRI cash. This figure is much lower than in previous years.

BRI Operations Director Hakim Putratama detailed that the cash money originating from the ratas balance was known to be Rp19.7 trillion and the additional cash needs during the Idulfitri service holiday amounted to Rp5.3 trillion.

"From year to year, it will all go down because it is in line with the increasing use of digital banking," he told the media, quoted Wednesday, March 11.

The judge added that in 2024, BRI prepared cash of Rp. 29 trillion for 10 days, and in 2025, Rp. 27 trillion for 11 days.

Despite the decline, he ensured that the money was enough to meet the cash needs of customers who went home.

According to him, the decline in the use of cash is also in line with the company's strategy to reduce cash to reduce operating costs.

The judge said that during the Idulfitri holiday, BRI prepared 186 BRI Work Units which opened on March 18, 20, 23, and 24, 2026 which operated from 08.00 to 15.00.

The services available include account opening, deposit-withdrawal, debit card services, e-banking registration, state revenue deposit, complaint handling, and Special Customer services such as Pertamina Jasa Raharja.

Furthermore, BRI also ensures the readiness of 19,657 ATMs and CRM, 284,670 EDC, 1.2 million BRILink agents, and 4.6 million QRIS points.
