Welcome to the Homecoming, PGN and PGN Gagas Present a BBG Tour Workshop in Cirebon

JAKARTA - Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk or (PGN) as a Pertamina Gas Subholding has strengthened synergy with PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (PGN Gagas) and the Gas Community (Komogas) by again presenting a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mobile Workshop service in the Cirebon area, West Java.

This initiative is part of PGN's commitment to ensuring that gas-fueled vehicles (BBG) remain in optimal condition, while improving the safety and comfort of BBG users amid increasing community mobility ahead of the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period.

The Mobile Workshop in Cirebon City is scheduled to take place on March 9-16, 2026 and is located at SPBG Cirebon. This program is intended for online transportation drivers as well as daily transportation drivers who use BBG. The services provided include vehicle conversion to BBG, vehicle technical inspection, audit of BBG installation safety, and education to users regarding safety aspects and correct gas filling procedures.

PGN Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, said that the presence of the Mobile Workshop in Cirebon is expected to support the readiness of BBG vehicles ahead of the Idulfitri homecoming rush. According to him, Cirebon which is on the north coast (Pantura) is one of the main corridors that is passed by travelers from various regions, so that the service of technical inspection and checking the safety of BBG installations is important to ensure that vehicles remain safe and optimal during the journey.

"Through this Mobile Workshop service, PGN wants to ensure that BBG vehicle users who pass through the Pantura line, especially in the Cirebon area, can travel home more safely and comfortably. We hope that the technical inspection and education provided can help improve driving safety and support the smooth mobility of the community during the Lebaran homecoming period," said Fajriyah.

Throughout 2025, PGN through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program has also carried out a program to convert oil-fueled vehicles into BBG vehicles with 200 units in various cities in Indonesia. This program is expected to help increase operational cost efficiency for drivers, especially daily transportation drivers, while contributing to reducing emissions and improving environmental quality.

"Through this CNG Tour Workshop program, we not only want to ensure the safety and readiness of BBG vehicles, but also increase public understanding of the safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly use of gas energy. This is in line with our commitment to continue to encourage the use of gas energy as an alternative cleaner and more sustainable fuel," added Fajriyah.

Meanwhile, PGN President Director Gagas, Santiaji Gunawan, explained that the CNG Mobile Workshop service is equipped with various supporting facilities, including adequate technical equipment and technicians who have been certified and experienced in handling BBG systems on vehicles. With this support, the Mobile Workshop team can carry out technical inspections, check the safety of CNG installations, and provide necessary maintenance recommendations for users.

"With the support of complete equipment and certified technicians, we hope that the CNG vehicles used by the public can remain in excellent condition, safe, and ready to be used for long-distance travel, especially during the Lebaran homecoming period," said Santiaji.

Komogas Chairman, Andy Lala, emphasized that PGN's support together with PGN Gagas is very meaningful, especially in ensuring the safety and reliability aspects of BBG vehicles. According to him, this collaboration not only helps BBG users to drive more safely through technical inspections and education provided, but also becomes an important step in expanding the use of gas energy as an alternative fuel that is more efficient and environmentally friendly in the community.

"We are grateful to PGN and PGN Gagas who continue to accompany BBG vehicle users. We hope that this collaboration will further strengthen our joint efforts to improve the safety and reliability of BBG vehicles, as well as encourage the wider use of gas energy as an alternative fuel that is more efficient and environmentally friendly for the community," concluded Andy.
