PGN Targets Trading Volume of 877 BBTUD of Gas Throughout 2026

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS) targets the distribution of natural gas to various customer segments of around 877 BBTUD or growing by 4 percent throughout 2026.

PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman explained that this was driven by optimism about demand growth from several industrial areas and new customers, especially in East Java and Central Java. PGN will also complement its natural gas services with LNG distribution. This optimism encourages PGN to strengthen its operations as the main foundation.

"PGN's focus in 2026 is on operational strengthening as a long-term investment to ensure the reliability of services to customers. PGN also has high expectations to connect natural gas to communities in various sectors of society and economic centers," said Fajriyah, Wednesday, March 11.

He added, PGN's main strategic projects are the acceleration of a number of initiatives to strengthen transmission, distribution and regasification infrastructure. This development direction includes expanding the reach of services through customer attachments targeting the commercial and industrial sectors at various business scales.

"PGN is also completing infrastructure projects such as the Cikampek - Plumpang Pipeline, plans to add the Sei Mangkei Distribution Pipeline line, as well as the development of LNG liquefaction and regasification facilities," he continued.

Then, in an effort to expand access to energy to households, PGN accelerated the household gas network (jargas) in Sumatra and Java. This step is accompanied by midstream infrastructure innovation through the beyond pipeline mode, namely CNG cylinders, LNG Hub retail, trucking and Vertical Gas Liquid (VGL) tanks.

To complement this innovation, PGN strengthens the LNG infrastructure through the optimization of the Arun Hub & Storage facility, which is now equipped with excellent security facilities and the expansion of LNG facility development to the eastern region of Indonesia for the electricity sector.

PGN continues to pursue low emission initiatives, where PGN is committed to sustainability through the development of renewable & natural gas products for Green Energy Business, such as biomethane and gas derivatives.

"In the implementation of the development of strategic projects in 2026, PGN continues to strive to optimize by prioritizing the principle of prudence and providing direct impact for the community and the company," concluded Fajriyah.
