Asked for THR by an individual? The National Police asks residents to immediately report to Hotline 110
JAKARTA - The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) appeals to the public to immediately report if they feel disturbed by individuals who ask for Eid al-Fitr allowances (THR) or assistance for contributions before Lebaran.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, said that the public could report the incident through the 110 hotline service provided by the National Police.
"We have a hotline 110. If anyone writes or asks for THR and feels it is disturbing, the public can report it," Johnny said in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, March 11.
According to him, community reports will later be followed up with various steps, ranging from preventive efforts in the form of appeals to law enforcement if the situation is considered disturbing.
"If it is at the stage of being disturbing, it is certainly not impossible that we will enforce the law as a last resort," he said.
Apart from the request for THR by individuals, the National Police also appealed to the public who were going home to use the 110 hotline if they experienced security disturbances.
"If you need help, please call 110. This is a free service and the National Police will respond quickly," said Johnny.
The former West Papua Police Chief also said that the Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror Police had taken various anticipatory steps to prevent potential terrorism threats during the Lebaran holiday period.
He said the head of the National Police had given special attention to the personnel of Densus 88 to improve the mapping of security objects.
In order to secure the Lebaran homecoming and return flow, the National Police, together with various stakeholders, will hold the Ketupat 2026 Operation.
The operation aims to ensure that this year's homecoming takes place safely, comfortably, and smoothly.
