PTBA Performs Rice Harvest Raya Results of Coal Incineration Innovation into Potassium Humate
JAKARTA - PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) held the Kalium Humat Implementation and Coal Beneficiation Agricultural Harvest at Tanjung Karangan Village, Tanjung Agung District, Muara Enim Regency, Monday, March 9.
PTBA President Director Arsal Ismail revealed that the harvest on this 3.5 Ha land is a manifestation of the company's commitment to improving the welfare of the community, especially those around Muara Enim.
The implementation of potassium humate in this agricultural land is one part of strengthening the food security of the surrounding community and hopes that this program can increase the income of local farmers.
"The land before using potassium humate was mentioned from 0.8 hectares that could produce 3.5 tons, after using potassium humate, the estimated harvest can increase to 1 ton, well, we hope that the farmer's income will increase significantly. This means that this is a blessing, "said Arsal, quoted Wednesday, March 11.
Arsal added, through the implementation of potassium humate, PTBA wants to show its seriousness in carrying out downstream processing that can provide broad benefits, including for the agricultural sector. This program is expected to be able to increase land productivity while strengthening the food security of the community around the Company's operational area.
Arsal added that this harvest activity is also a symbol of synergy between companies, local governments, and communities in encouraging sustainable development. According to him, the existence of this program further emphasizes that coal is not only a source of energy but also a hidden source of life.
"As a state-owned enterprise, we will continue to innovate, continue to collaborate to conduct research and development in order to increase the added value of coal," he said.
On the same occasion, the Regent of Muara Enim Edison, represented by the Muara Enim Regency Social and Human Resources Expert Staff, Ulil Amri, expressed his appreciation for PTBA's steps in developing coal downstream innovation which has a direct impact on the agricultural sector.
The innovation carried out by PTBA through the utilization of potassium humate is a very important program to increase agricultural productivity as well as encourage the welfare of farmers in Muara Enim Regency.
"The synergy between the local government and the business world is the key to strengthening regional economic development, especially in the agricultural sector which is one of the main pillars of the community's economy," he said.
