Jakarta Weather March 11: Thick Clouds in the Morning, Light Rain in the Afternoon
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that parts of Jakarta and its surroundings will be hit by light rain on Wednesday, March 11.
Based on data from BMKG through its official website, the areas of West Jakarta and Central Jakarta are predicted to be thick clouds in the morning. Furthermore, light rain is potentially falling in the afternoon to evening, then the condition will return to cloudy at night.
Similar conditions are also expected in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, namely thick clouds in the morning, then light rain in the afternoon and evening, and clouds again at night.
Meanwhile, North Jakarta is predicted to be thick clouds in the morning, cloudy in the afternoon, then light rain in the afternoon before returning to cloudy at night. For the Thousand Islands area, BMKG predicts light rain in the morning, then thick clouds from noon to evening.
Not only Jakarta, but also potential rain is expected to occur in a number of areas buffering the capital. In Bogor City, the weather is expected to be cloudy to light rain with a temperature ranging from 20-26 degrees Celsius.
In Depok City, the weather conditions are predicted to be similar to the potential for light rain in the afternoon or evening with an air temperature of around 24-30 degrees Celsius.
The Bekasi area also has the potential to experience light rain with air temperatures ranging from 24-30 degrees Celsius, while in Tangerang the weather is predicted to be cloudy to light rain with a relatively similar temperature range.
In general, BMKG estimates that the air temperature in the Jabodetabek area will be in the range of 24-30 degrees Celsius, while for Bogor it is relatively cooler. The humidity level is predicted to be quite high, around 75-95 percent with the dominant wind direction from west to northwest.
BMKG urges people who are active outdoors to remain alert to the potential for rain and to bring equipment such as umbrellas or raincoats, given that weather conditions can change at any time.
