PDIP Withdraws Support, Regent Of Alor Relaxes: This Is Government Affairs, Not Spoofing Party Officials
ALOR - Alor Regent Amon Djobo was surprised by the PDI-P for withdrawing its support for him. His anger at the Ministry of Social Staff's staff that went viral some time ago was a government matter, not a party.
"In the video that went viral, I scolded the staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs and it is a government matter, not a business with a particular party. I did not scold party officials," said Amon Djobo when contacted by Antara, Thursday, June 3.
The Regent of Amon admitted that he regretted the withdrawal of the support because the problem was actually brought to the political sphere. For him, this is inappropriate.
"The PDI-P should be able to understand the substance of the problem, I scolded the two staff," he said.
According to him, the inappropriate words against Social Minister Risma were related to humanitarian service assistance. Bupai Amon did not want the aid distributed not according to the procedures and mechanisms in governance.
Because, in the end, it is the local government who will be blamed if the distribution procedure is not followed. "This is funds from the central government, not funds from political parties or private money," said the Regent for the two periods.
However, Amon admitted to openly accepting the PDI-P's decision. He thanked the PDI-P and was proud that the party supported him in the 2017 Pilkada.
"Until now I have not received a letter from the PDI-P DPP. However, I would be grateful if there was such a letter," he said.
Amon also admitted that this case had actually been completed because he had apologized directly to the Minister of Social Affairs during his working visit to the area regarding the distribution of social assistance for victims of Cyclone Seroja.
