Director General of Taxes: 99 Percent of ASN Kemenkeu Has Reported Income Tax through Coretax

Director General (Dirjen) of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto said that around 99 percent of state civil servants (ASN) in the Ministry of Finance environment have reported the Annual Income Tax Notification Letter (SPT) through the Coretax system.

"So if the Ministry of Finance is almost 99 percent. Unless there are some who are on umrah at that time," said Bimo after attending the inauguration ceremony for the second echelon officials of the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 11.

He also assessed that the compliance rate for reporting the tax return in other ministries and agencies (K/L) was also relatively high. According to him, most agencies have followed the call to report the tax return through the new tax administration system earlier.

"If the other (K/L), it seems that they all comply with the deadline (appeal) that has been set," he added.

Previously, the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) urged ASN to submit the Annual Income Tax Return (PPh) for individuals by the end of February 2026.

Bimo explained that the DJP had coordinated with a number of ministries and agencies, such as the Ministry of PAN-RB, the Ministry of SOEs, Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Ministry of Home Affairs, to encourage employees to immediately report the tax return.

"We also ask for the assistance of the relevant ministries to help direct the reporting of the SPT for all ASN or its employees by the end of February at the latest," said Bimo (23/2).

The appeal was then followed up by the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) through Circular Letter Number B/7/M.SM.00.00/2026 regarding the submission of the Annual Income Tax Return for Individuals for ASN, TNI, and Polri.

In the circular, all institutions are asked to ensure that their employees have submitted the Annual Income Tax Declaration by no later than February 28, 2026 as a form of example to the public.

This acceleration of reporting is also intended to anticipate the accumulation of reports ahead of the deadline for the submission of the Personal Income Tax Annual Return on March 31, 2026.
