PTPP Accelerates the Construction of the West Residence IKN Road, Progress Reaches 65.85 Percent

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), a national construction and investment company under the auspices of Danantara Indonesia, has recorded positive progress in the construction of the West Residence Area Road Improvement in the Central Government Area (KIPP) of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). As of March 2026, the construction progress of the project has reached 65.848 percent, surpassing the planned target of 60.694 percent, or an acceleration of 5.154 percent.

The project, which is being carried out by the consortium of PT PP-MWT-SBS, KSO, was officially started since the issuance of the Work Commencement Order (SPMK) on July 29, 2024, with a contract value of around IDR 1.3 trillion. In this project, PTPP plays an active role in ensuring that construction is carried out optimally by prioritizing safety standards, construction quality, and timeliness of completion.

The West Residence Area Road Improvement Project includes the construction of integrated area road infrastructure with utilities, drainage systems, pedestrians, and green open space arrangement in the Nusantara Capital Region. In its implementation, PT PP (Persero) Tbk together with the KSO consortium also implemented various construction innovations and logistics optimization to maintain the acceleration of project progress in the midst of high construction activities in the IKN area.

In addition to supporting the development of the new capital city infrastructure, this project also provides a multiplier effect for the regional economy through the absorption of around 600 workers, the involvement of various working partners and subcontractors, and the use of large amounts of construction materials that support the supply chain activities of the construction sector.

East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas'ud also appreciated the development of infrastructure in the area.

"The road is amazing, it will soon be operational for Indonesia," said Rudy.

Meanwhile, PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said that the achievement of progress that exceeded the target was proof of the company's commitment to supporting the development of strategic national infrastructure.

"PTPP continues to be committed to providing the best construction quality and ensuring that national strategic projects in the Nusantara Capital can be carried out on time and provide benefits for the development of the region and connectivity in the future," said Joko, in a statement, Tuesday, March 11.

Through this progress that exceeds this target, PTPP is optimistic that the construction of the West Residence Area Road can immediately support the mobility and connectivity of the core government area in IKN as well as strengthen PTPP's role as one of the main contractors in the construction of the new capital of Indonesia.

The development of this infrastructure is also in line with the government's efforts to encourage the equitable development and new economic growth in various regions of Indonesia, in line with the national development vision Asta Cita.
