Bank Jakarta Promotes Non-cash Transactions at Ramadan Bazaar, Targets Expansion of MSME Digitalization
JAKARTA - Bank Jakarta strengthens its efforts to accelerate non-cash transactions by supporting digital payment systems in the 2026 Jakarta Prime Ramadan Bazaar held by Perumda Pasar Jaya in the yard of the DKI Jakarta City Hall on March 9-10, 2026.
Through this participation, Bank Jakarta provides digital payment facilities for culinary and fashion tenants who participate in the Ramadan bazaar.
This step is part of the company's strategy to expand the digital payment ecosystem in people's economic activities, especially in the micro, small, and medium business (MSMEs) sector.
Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H Widodo said the company's involvement in the activity aims to encourage the community to get used to using more practical and transparent digital payment methods.
"Bank Jakarta is committed to continue to encourage an inclusive and easily accessible non-cash transaction ecosystem for all layers of the Jakarta community. Through the support of the payment system at the Jakarta Prime Ramadan Bazaar, we want to present a more practical transaction experience while expanding access to financial services for MSMEs," said Agus in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, March 10.
According to Agus, the digitization of transactions can also help MSMEs to increase financial recording efficiency and expand market reach.
The Jakarta Prime Ramadan Bazaar activity presents various food and beverage tenants as well as fashion products from Pasar Jaya partners.
In addition, the event was also enlivened with a program to redeem cheap groceries and social activities in the form of orphans during the month of Ramadan.
Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi added that Bank Jakarta's presence in the activity was also aimed at increasing people's financial literacy and inclusion.
"This activity is a momentum to provide education to the public about the importance of utilizing formal financial services and digital transactions wisely," said Arie.
He assessed that collaboration between banks and market managers could accelerate the transformation of the digital economy while strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs amid the increasing use of digital payment systems.
