Jasa Marga President Director: 30 Percent Discount on Toll Tariffs Does Not Affect Revenue Target 2026
BEKASI - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) ensures that the policy of providing a 30 percent discount on toll rates will not affect the company's revenue.
Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono emphasized that the corporate performance remained stable even though the company carried out stimulus programs from the government. He ensured that all commercial aspects had been calculated carefully so as not to interfere with the company's annual profit target of 2021.
"The 30 percent discount does not affect (the company's performance). It's still okay," said Rivan in the Jasa Marga Siaga Media Briefing: Operational Readiness for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 at the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) Jati Asih, Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday, March 10.
The tariff discount will be applied for four days, namely on March 15-16 for the homecoming flow and March 26-27 during the return flow. The schedule was deliberately taken early to encourage people to travel before the peak of the homecoming flow which is predicted to fall on March 18, 2026.
In addition, the selection of the date also takes into account several other factors such as the work from anywhere (WFA) policy and the momentum of Nyepi Day on March 19, which has the potential to affect people's travel patterns.
"Why is there a discount on 15-16 (March) because we expect the departure (of the community) to be Sunday and Monday. It is not piled up because WFA is on 17 or 18 (March). Why is March 18 important to avoid being pulled forward? Because the next 19 is a new year," he said.
Meanwhile, for the Lebaran return flow, a discount on the tariff is given on March 26-27.
This policy is expected to encourage travelers to return early, so that there is no spike in vehicles at the weekend after Lebaran.
"The reverse flow after Lebaran will then appear again on Saturday and Sunday. Because we don't expect it to pile up on Saturday & Sunday, 28-29 (March), it is withdrawn to 26 and 27 (March)," he said.
Through the stimulus, Jasa Marga is optimistic that public interest in discounts will remain high. Previous years' experience has proven that tariff cuts are effective in breaking down congestion at major toll gates.
"But most of the time when discounts are given, people's interest comes in and helps distribute vehicles that do not pile up during peak periods, both for the return and return home," said Rivan.
Jasa Marga projects that as many as 3.5 million vehicles will leave the Jabodetabek area during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.
This figure is estimated to be in line with the length of the Lebaran holiday this year.
Of the 3.5 million vehicles, vehicles pass through toll roads in three directions. The presence is 28 percent of vehicles heading to Merak, 50 percent of vehicles heading to the East (Trans Java and Cikampek Utama) and 20 percent heading to Bogor.
According to Rivan, vehicle movement is also predicted to begin on Friday, March 13.
Because the holiday period is quite long, it gives the opportunity to return home faster.
"We estimate that the movement has started to emerge since this Friday (March 13), because of the long holiday period. This is the right time to travel," he explained.
