Safari Ramadan 2026, PGN Donates Aid to Thousands of Children in More than 350 Foundations
JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk or PGN, as a Pertamina Gas Subholding, has once again confirmed its commitment to presenting programs that provide tangible benefits to the community. Through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PGN held the 2026 Ramadan Safari, which was realized through the distribution of assistance to more than 359 foundations that reached around 8,275 children in various regions in Indonesia.
The distribution of assistance is also part of the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran, which has an important meaning for Muslims as an event of the descent of the Qur'an as a guide for life. Through this activity, PGN wants to present the spirit of sharing and strengthening the values of togetherness in the holy month of Ramadan.
PGN President Commissioner, Tony Setia Boedi Hoesodo, said that the momentum of Ramadan is the right time to strengthen the value of concern, togetherness, and the spirit of sharing with others.
"Ramadan is a reminder for all of us to always maintain the values of goodness in every activity, including at work. I continue to remind all PGN officers to always maintain health and safety as a top priority, so that they can carry out their duties well while providing wider benefits for the community," said Tony, quoted Tuesday, March 10.
The assistance provided by PGN in the form of cash compensation was given to various foundations to be distributed to orphans and orphans around the company's operational area, including in Sumatra, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, DIY, East Java, and Kalimantan.
In addition to cash assistance, PGN also distributed Qur'an packages and educational comics containing the biographies of successful figures, heroes, and inspirational legends for children who survived disasters in Sumatra.
"We carry out compensation for our brothers and sisters in need, especially orphans. This is a reminder for us to make the Quran a guide or consideration in living life, the actions we take, policies, and directions," said PGN President Director, Arief Kurnia Risdianto.
Arief emphasized the importance of clarifying intentions in every task carried out by PGN personnel as part of efforts to provide the best contribution to the company. According to him, every job that is done is not only a form of professional responsibility, but is also expected to bring blessings and have a positive impact on the company's progress.
"Hopefully what we do will be pleasing to God and have a positive implication for the company, as well as bring benefits to the recipients of assistance. Let's continue to strive to be better, better, and better," concluded Arief.
