Back as the Head of Commission III of the DPR, Sahroni will donate all his salary to the Foundation

Member of the House of Representatives from the NasDem Faction, Ahmad Sahroni, stated that he would donate his entire salary to a foundation after returning to his position as the head of Commission III of the House of Representatives after being sanctioned for six months by the Council of Honor Court (MKD). In fact, Sahroni will not take a penny until the end of his term as a member of the House of Representatives.

"The use may be my salary as a member of the DPR, I want to hand it over to the Kitabisa Foundation so that it can be used as it should, to help those in need. But because it is transparent, the open foundation, we hand it over to Kitabisa. Let it be easier," said Sahroni at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 10.

"Kitabisa knows everywhere that needs to be given the most urgent and useful assistance for those in need. If we distribute it ourselves, sometimes yes, there are those who don't know. Well, if we hand it over to Kitabisa, it will be reported in an open space, in a public space," continued the general treasurer of the NasDem Party.

The salary of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the period 2024-2029 is estimated to reach Rp. 65.5 million per month after tax deductions. Sahroni ensured that he would not take a salary until the end of his term.

"Until the end of the term of office. So later the Kesekjenan will send us a personal account, then I will ask for an automatic debit directly to the Kitabisa account," he said.

Sahroni explained that the salary sent by the DPR Kesetjenan still passed through his account but was immediately transferred to the Kitabisa account.

"Through (personal account), just direct auto-debit. Send it directly there, directly. So how much, direct auto-debit. It's not manual anymore, it's not. Later I'll send it to Bank Mandiri to be sent directly to Kitabisa the amount received," he explained.

The legislator from the Jakarta District hopes that the salary he did not receive can help people in need.

"Karenakemarin, people think that I am considered to be taking people's money, taking money from taxes, right. Well, until now we never know how much the salary is. Well, that explains not the other meaning but we want it personally, because I am a businessman too, yes, I give it to those who need it through the Kitabisa Foundation," said Sahroni.
