The video circulating shows Jennie walking with her manager and security. The atmosphere changed after someone recorded while following Jennie's movements.
When BLACKPINK members greeted fans, someone showed them some photocards to be signed by Jennie. The idol who saw it was judged to be uninterested and hesitant to sign the photos.
Not stopping there, when someone else followed his movements, Jennie gestured to the security to stop following him. This person continued to follow Jennie who greeted other fans while continuing to record him.
This sparked a debate on social media because Jennie was considered arrogant and rude. One tweet on X (Twitter) even garnered a total of 30 thousand likes.
Monday, March 9, Odd Atelier as Jennie's agency issued a statement that they were aware of the upload that tarnished the reputation of their artist.
"We have recently identified the spread of false information, slanderous content, attacks and speculative uploads targeting our artist, Jennie, on various platforms and social media. We are taking serious action because of the large amount of false content targeting Jennie's reputation and threatening her privacy," said Odd Atelier via social media.
"We also monitor all social media to collect some evidence. We review various responses with consultations with legal parties regarding things that violate the rights of our artists," he continued.
Jennie herself attended the Chanel fashion show where she was an ambassador for the brand.
