Complaining To MUI, 12 KPK Employees Confess TWK Material Oddities

JAKARTA - 12 KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight (TWK) complained to the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) on Thursday, June 3.

There, they discussed TWK material which was deemed irrelevant and weakened the anti-corruption commission.

"They came to the MUI in order to complain about the TWK selection process," said MUI Head of Da'wah and Ukhuwah Sector Cholil Nafis in a written statement received in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, June 3.

Cholil said the 12 KPK employees spoke about the oddities of both the TWK material and the ASN appointment process. To become an ASN at the KPK, you still have to undergo a TWK, while in other institutions such as Komnas HAM, it is not necessary.

Employees at Komnas HAM, they said, immediately became ASN without a TWK first. The questions in TWK are also considered not to reflect expertise and do not even reflect nationality.

"The KPK employee also said that many of them have worked for a dozen years and have never even encountered ethical problems," he said.

Not only that, they also shared their discomfort with attacks and accusations ranging from the Taliban to anti-NKRI.

After the hearing, MUI will bring this issue to the MUI daily leadership meeting, so that later an official response from the MUI will appear.

"We will take this matter to the MUI Daily Leadership meeting to determine what steps the MUI will take," said Cholil Nafis.

Previously, the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would not revoke Decision Letter (SK) No. 652 of 2021 regarding the results of the National Insight Test (TWK) for employees who do not meet the requirements in the context of transferring KPK employees to ASN employees.

In the decree, 75 employees who do not meet the TWK requirements are asked to hand over their duties and responsibilities to their immediate superiors while waiting for further decisions.

The letter is the response of the KPK leadership to the objection letters from seven employees who are part of the 75 employees who do not meet the TWK requirements.
