Elderly Tricycle Puller in Blitar Gets Electric Tricycle, Makes it Easier to Find a Living
Blitar - Hundreds of electric pedicabs were distributed in Blitar Regency, East Java, on Saturday, March 7 at the Sasana Adi Praja Palace.
The free electric rickshaws initiated by President Prabowo Subianto were welcomed by the elderly who worked as rickshaw pullers. The elderly rickshaw pullers had previously complained of pain and aches when they had to pull rickshaws.
However, this is often done because they have to still earn a living for their families. It is hoped that after getting an electric becak, the elderly becak pullers can more easily find a living.
Representative of the National Solidarity Movement Foundation (GSN), Major General TNI (Ret.) Firman Dahlan, reminded that the electric rickshaw assistance was given to help improve the economic status of rickshaw pullers, not to be sold or cashed immediately.
According to him, the assistance is expected to be optimally utilized so that becak drivers can work more easily while increasing their income.
