President Prabowo admits that Indonesia will be difficult, the impact of the war is starting to be calculated

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto for the first time spoke more openly about the threat from global turmoil. He admitted that Indonesia must be prepared to face difficulties due to widespread wars, from Europe to the Middle East.

Prabowo made the statement when he officially opened 218 bridges online from Hambalang, Bogor, Monday, March 9.

In the midst of the event related to infrastructure, President Prabowo actually inserted a message that the world was not going well, and Indonesia was not immune from the impact.

"A while ago we realized there was a war in Europe, in Ukraine. Now almost the whole Middle East is affected," said Prabowo.

He emphasized that even though Indonesia is far from the center of the conflict, the effects can still hit the country. Therefore, the government must be ready to face pressure from outside.

Prabowo also admitted that he did not want to cover up the situation. He even stated that he would give a briefing to all Indonesian people in the near future.

"We must be ready to face difficulties," he said.

In addition, Prabowo also highlighted problems in the country. He said there were still shortages of officials, bureaucrats, and officers. He also emphasized that corruption and the games of rogue businessmen had made many of the nation's wealth disappear.
