Xbox Announces Next-Generation Console with Code Name Project Helix
JAKARTA - Microsoft through its game division, Xbox, has begun to reveal plans for the development of the next-generation console with the code name Project Helix.
XBOX CEO, Asha Shar, through a post on the X platform, told the team that Xbox had discussed the company's commitment to bringing back innovation to the Xbox console, including Project Helix which will be their latest generation console.
"A pleasant morning with the Xbox Team, where we discussed our commitment to the return of Xbox, including Project Helix, the code name for the next-generation console," Asha wrote on X.

He also said that this console will focus on improving performance and the ability to play games from the Xbox and PC ecosystem.
"Project Helix will excel in performance and be able to play your Xbox and PC games. I look forward to discussing this further with partners and studios at my first GDC next week," he continued.
Meanwhile, the official Xbox account also released a short video introducing the name Project Helix as the next generation of the Xbox console.
The video only shows the Project Helix logo with a dark background, without revealing any details about the device's specifications or launch schedule.
Asha also said he would discuss the project further with partners and game studios at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC).
The presence of Project Helix is expected to be Xbox's strategic move in strengthening the cross-device game ecosystem, especially between consoles and PCs.
