EXO's Lay Expresses Condolences for Vidi Aldiano

JAKARTA - Vidi Aldiano's death is a grief, not only for fans but also international musicians. Lay EXO or Zhang Yixing expressed condolences to the artist through his social media.

Sunday, March 8, Lay Zhang wrote a black Instagram Story with a statement containing condolences for the sad news.

"Rest in peace, Vidi. It was an honor for me to collaborate with you and go through that moment together," Lay wrote in an Instagram Story.

"Your kindness, talent, and strength will always be remembered. Prayers and love for your family and loved ones. You will be missed," he continued.

EXO's Lay and Vidi Aldiano's interaction began when they collaborated on the Remix version of Run Back to You. In addition to Vidi, this project also involved Lauv.

The song Run Back to You was released in 2024. Then, they also met in early 2025 and shared the interaction on social media.

Vidi himself also revealed his admiration for the group EXO where Lay is a member. On various occasions, Vidi shared his love with fans.

Singer Vidi Aldiano is reported to have died on Saturday, March 7, 2026. "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. He has passed away, our beloved friend, VIDI ALDIANO, on this day Saturday, March 7, 2026," the message read.

"We ask for prayers that the deceased is forgiven for all his sins, his good deeds are accepted, and he gets the best place by the side of Allah SWT. The family left behind may be given fortitude," he continued.

Vidi Aldiano was buried at the Tanah Kusir TPU and died at the age of 35.
