Jakarta Flood Monday Morning, 16 RT and Two Roads Still Submerged

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that as of Monday at 06.00 WIB, flooding still submerged 16 neighborhood units (RT) and two roads with heights ranging from half a meter to almost one meter.

"However, at this time the flood has gradually receded," said Head of the BPBD DKI Jakarta Disaster Data and Information Center, Mohamad Yohan, in Jakarta, Monday, March 9.

BPBD DKI Jakarta recorded that on Sunday (8/3) afternoon the flood had submerged as many as 148 RTs and 20 roads in South, West, and East Jakarta. This data is the peak of the flood that occurred in Jakarta.

After that, from the same data, the flood gradually receded and on Monday morning at around 06.00 WIB, the flood was still submerging 16 RT and two roads.

Yohan said that the water height that still submerged 16 RT in West Jakarta was 30-90 centimeters (cm).

"The cause of the flood is heavy rain that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings on Saturday (7/3) and Sunday (8/3) and the overflowing of a number of rivers in the area," he said.

The data on the affected areas are as follows:

West Jakarta has 16 RT, consisting of:

Duri Kosambi Village: 4 RT Height: 30-80 cm

Rawa Buaya Village: 7 RT Height: 60-90 cm

Kelurahan. Jelambar: 1 RTKetinggian: 30 cm

South Kembangan Village: 2 RT Height: 50 cm

North Kembangan Village: 2 RTKetinggian: 40-60 cm.

The flooded roads are as follows: 1. Kapuk Muara Raya Road, Kapuk Muara Village 2. Outside Kembangan Raya Red Light, Kembangan South Village.

BPBD DKI Jakarta deployed personnel to monitor the condition of the puddles in each area and coordinate the elements of the Water Resources Department, the Road Construction Department, the Gulkarmat Department to carry out suction and ensure that the water ropes function properly.
