US Turns a Blind Eye, Accuses Israel of Attacking Iranian Oil Refinery in Tehran
JAKARTA - The United States (US) said the destruction of an Iranian oil refinery in Tehran, which resulted in a large fire and a plume of smoke rising high, was the result of an Israeli attack without its military intervention.
US Energy Minister Chris Wright claimed that the US never planned in a war with Iran to target the energy industry, including the oil and gas sector.
"Israeli attack," Wright accused of the destruction of the oil refinery in Tehran during an interview session with CNN, Sunday, March 8.
The attack on an Iranian oil refinery resulted in a massive fire on Saturday, March 7, and the red hero was still rampaging at the site of the burning of energy infrastructure in Tehran on Sunday morning, March 8.
Wright then emphasized his claim that Washington has no target of attacking "zero energy infrastructure".
The joint US-Israeli attack on Iran since February 28 has disrupted the distribution of world oil from the Middle East due to the Strait of Hormuz which is a war zone.
The Strait of Hormuz is also known as the world's main energy route, which is usually passed through about 20 percent of the world's oil supply.
