Regarding the US-Israeli Ground Invasion of Iran, the White House: Not Trump's Plan at This Time
JAKARTA - White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt revealed that US President Donald Trump has no immediate plans to launch a massive US-Israeli ground offensive against Iran.
"That's not part of the current plan, but the President, once again, wisely keeps those options open," Leavitt told Fox News on Sunday, March 8.
The US-Israel launched air raids on Iran since February 28, 2026. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were targeted in the attacks.
The attack on Iran killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other key figures in the Islamic Republic's leadership.
The White House justified the US-Israeli attack by citing the threat of missiles and nuclear weapons allegedly originating from Iran.
The hope of a large-scale retaliation was then announced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) which targeted US assets in the Middle East, and areas in Israel.
