Cak Imin: PKB DKI's New Office Must Be a Center of Struggle for Jakarta

JAKARTA - PKB DPP Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar inaugurated the PKB DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPW) office at Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 1, East Jakarta. In his remarks, Muhaimin assessed the location of the new office was strategic and hoped it could increase productivity and consolidate the party in the capital.

"This is the first time that the DPW office is strategic. It turns out that it is a bit congested, that's what strategic is," said Muhaimin, who is familiarly called Cak Imin at the inauguration event, Sunday, March 8.

On that occasion, Cak Imin also touched on the theme carried by the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW, namely "PKB Future Jakarta". According to him, the theme reflects the optimism of his party to be able to play a bigger role in solving various problems in the capital.

He assessed that the success of the DKI Jakarta PKB in winning 10 seats in the Provincial DPRD in the last election was an important achievement that must be maintained.

"Previously, PKB in DKI was often underestimated. But now it has proven that it can win 10 seats in the provincial DPRD and two seats in the DPR RI. This is an achievement that is not easy," he said.

Cak Imin also praised the leadership of the Chairman of the PKB DKI Jakarta DPW Hasbiallah Ilyas, who he considered able to increase the party's seat acquisition in the capital. According to him, this success shows that the cadres who have not been too much taken into account are able to provide real results.

Cak Imin hopes that PKB cadres, especially members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, can work hard and maintain the public trust that has been given to the party.

He also emphasized that PKB must continue to echo the idea of "PKB Future Jakarta" as a commitment to contribute to improving the condition of the capital city.

"We want Jakarta to be better. No more residents who are stranded at the station for hours because there is no transportation," he said.

The inauguration of this new office is expected to be a momentum to strengthen the consolidation of the DKI Jakarta PKB in facing the political agenda and serving the community in the future.
