Uncle Birin-Denny Indrayana Fights Against South Kalimantan Gubernatorial Election, Regional Police Checks Security Force Readiness
BANJARMASIN - With 6 days remaining before the re-voting (PSU) for the gubernatorial election of South Kalimantan on June 9, the South Kalimantan Police will check the readiness of the security forces. The two candidate pairs that are re-battling in the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election are Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin and Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat.
"In principle, all personnel on duty are ready to be deployed to secure the PSU," said Head of the Ops Bureau of the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Moch Noor Subchan, in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 3.
A total of 2,628 joint TNI-Polri personnel were deployed to secure the PSU which was held at 827 polling stations spread over seven sub-districts in three regencies and cities.
He said that each TPS was guarded by two police officers, assisted by members of the National Police. The presence of the apparatus is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for the organizers and the public who channel their voting rights.
Before voting begins, the distribution of logistics from the KPU warehouse to the polling stations and vice versa is also closely guarded by the TNI-Polri apparatus, so that the process runs safely and smoothly without interruption.
"Let's create a PSU that is safe and peaceful in Bumi Lambung Mangkurat. Show the people of South Kalimantan are mature in politics and participate in the final round of the South Kalimantan Pilkada with a happy heart," he said.
PSU consists of five sub-districts in Banjar Regency, namely Connect Makmur District, Aluh-Aluh District, Martapura District, Mataraman District and Astambul District with a total of 502 TPS.
Then the South Banjarmasin Sub-district in Banjarmasin City as many as 301 TPS and 24 TPS in Binuang District, Tapin Regency, so that a total of 827 TPS were prepared for the public to cast their votes in the final round of the match for candidate pair 01 Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin and candidate pair 02 Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat who it was decided that the Constitutional Court should hold a PSU.
