Juventus' first win since February after destroying Pisa

JAKARTA - Juventus finally won their first victory since February 1 after crushing Pisa 4-0 in an Italian Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium, Sunday, March 8, 2026 WIB. The victory opened up Juve's competition with AS Roma and Como 1907 for a ticket to the Champions League.

Roma, currently in fourth place, cannot afford to be complacent. With 51 points, Roma is within reach of Como and now Juve who won at home against Pisa.

Como managed to equalize Roma's points after winning 2-1 over Cagliari. Only, Roma still has a goal difference and one match left. If they win against Genoa, then I Giallorossi can widen the points gap with their competitors.

Meanwhile, Juve is also heating up the competition. The first victory achieved by the Bianconeri since February 1 not only restored the confidence of Kenan Yildiz et al., but also narrowed the points gap with Roma and Como. Currently, Juve has 50 points and is in sixth place.

Meanwhile, Pisa sank deeper into the standings after returning to defeat. Pisa, who has 15 points, is nine points behind Cremonese, which is one strip above the relegation zone. The chance to survive in the highest class is almost difficult to achieve and Pisa will most likely return to Serie B.

Despite winning big in that match, Juve actually had trouble facing Pisa's resistance. Even Luciano Spalletti's team was unable to score throughout the first half.

Juve could only fully dominate the game and overcome the deadlock in the second half. Defender Andrea Cambiaso opened La Vecchia Signora's victory after welcoming Yildiz's cross in the 54th minute. Cambiaso's close-range shot gave Juve a 1-0 lead.

Furthermore, Juve seemed to be able to overcome the pressure and finally add a goal in the 65th minute. This time, midfielder Khephren Thuram scored after receiving a rebound ball.

The goal started with a kick from Manuel Locatelli which still hit the goalpost. The ball bounced and moved wildly which was immediately taken by Thuram. This is the first goal of the younger brother of Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram since November 2025.

2-0 ahead, Juve still trying to dominate. The host's attempt to add a goal was not in vain. Yildiz showed his sharpness by increasing Juve's lead 10 minutes later. Completing an assist from Francisco Conceicao, the Turkish national team player's goal was like killing Pisa.

Moreover, Jeremie Boga added a goal and closed Juve's victory party in injury time. The score changed to 4-0 for Juve and lasted until the end of the match.
