Ketupat Marano 2026 Operation: West Sulawesi Prepares 98 Health Centers and 16 Hospitals

JAKARTA - The West Sulawesi Provincial Government (Sulbar) ensures the readiness of total health services to support the smooth flow of the 2026 Eid homecoming and return. Through the Health, Population Control, and Family Planning Agency (Dinkes P2KB), as many as 98 health centers and 16 hospitals throughout Sulbar have been alerted in the series of Operation Ketupat Marano 2026.

Head of the P2KB Health Office of South Sulawesi, dr. Nursyamsi Rahim, emphasized that all health facilities are ready to anticipate various medical emergency conditions. "We ensure that health services continue to run optimally so that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely, healthy, and comfortably," he said in Mamuju, Saturday (7/3).

Sulbar Governor Suhardi Duka stated that the local government had prepared a security scenario for the homecoming route that was integrated with health services. He emphasized the importance of safety factors, especially for travelers who use private vehicles.

"We appeal to the public not to use vehicles that are not roadworthy because they are very risky. The police will take firm action against this violation for the sake of mutual safety," said Suhardi. He also paid special attention to the high number of two-wheel accidents and asked drivers not to drive at high speeds during travel.

In terms of security, the Regional Police Chief of South Sulawesi, Inspector General of Police Adi Deriyan Jayamarta explained that the police would optimize the integrated operation by involving various cross-sector elements, including the TNI and related institutions.

Construction of Service Posts: Each Police Reseption is instructed to build a post equipped with facilities for resting for exhausted travelers.

Focus on Crowded Points: In addition to the main homecoming routes, security is tightened at strategic locations such as ports, terminals, shopping centers, and tourist destinations.

Vehicle Volume Management: The placement of personnel is prioritized on routes that are predicted to experience a surge in traffic flow.

Through the strong synergy between health services and police security, the 2026 Ketupat Marano Operation is expected to provide a sense of calm for residents of South Sulawesi who celebrate the Eid moment with their families.
