God Bless, Donny Fattah Dies

JAKARTA - The sad news came from the Indonesian music world. The God Bless Foundation, Donny Fattah died at Fatmawati Hospital, Jakarta on Saturday, March 7.

"Inalilahi waina ilahi rojiun. Donny Fattah, bassist, salah seorang pendiri God Bless, saudara kami tercinta, telah meninggal dunia di Rumah Sakit Fatmawati Jakarta. Mohon dimaafkan jika terdapat kesalahan almarhum. Semoga amal dan seluruh kebaikannya diterima di sisi-Nya. Aamiin ya robbal aalamiin," begitu keterangan terkait kabar duka dari akun God Bless.

Donny Fattah had revealed his health condition ranging from sarcopenia, autoimmune to vascular blockage. His condition has declined over time so he needs a cane to support his body.

He also caused a sensation after explaining that he had to take 32 types of drugs in his daily life. On the other hand, the band also apologized if the late made mistakes during his life.

"Please forgive me if there is a mistake in the deceased. May his deeds and all his good deeds be accepted by Him," wrote the God Bless account.

In the last few years, Donny Fattah has undergone treatment related to his illness. In 2022, he underwent heart bypass surgery.

Donny Fattah was born with the name Jidon Patta Onda Gagola is the basis of God Bless and a member of the Gong 2000 group. He is one of the rock musicians who have worked on many albums of similar genres.

In addition, he also worked on music with Kantata, D&R, Power Metal, and singers such as Nicky Astria, and others.

Donny Fattah died at the age of 76.
