JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that some areas of DKI Jakarta will be hit by rain on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with varying intensities ranging from light to accompanied by lightning.
In the morning, the areas of East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are predicted to experience rain accompanied by lightning. Meanwhile, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and South Jakarta have the potential to be hit by light rain.
Entering the afternoon, light rain is predicted to occur in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, South Jakarta and East Jakarta have the potential to experience moderate intensity rain.
At night, most of Jakarta, namely West Jakarta, South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta are predicted to be thick clouds. Meanwhile, the Thousand Islands have the potential to experience light rain.
BMKG also predicts that the air temperature in the Jakarta area will range from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds between 6 and 29 kilometers per hour.
In addition to Jakarta, a number of buffer areas of the capital are also expected to experience rain on the same day. In Bogor City, the weather is expected to be dominated by light to moderate rain from noon to afternoon with a temperature ranging from 22-28 degrees Celsius.
In the Bekasi area, the weather is predicted to be cloudy in the morning and potentially light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening with a temperature of around 24-31 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Depok City is predicted to experience light rain from noon to afternoon with an air temperature ranging from 23-30 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Tangerang area is predicted to be cloudy in the morning and potentially experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon to evening with an air temperature of around 24-30 degrees Celsius.
BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant against the potential for rain that may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds, especially during the day and afternoon in the Jakarta area and its surroundings.
