Isyana Sarasvati's Work Is Alleged to Be Satanic, Her Husband Speaks Out

JAKARTA - Isyana Sarasvati places music as a canvas for work and expression as wide as possible. Not a few are surprised by the changes he brought, including with the visual approach and music that was later associated with Satanism.

Not long ago, Isyana introduced the song Babel, which is part of the chapter Abadhi in her album series, Eklektiko. The nuances presented made netizens wildly assume on social media.

This topic was widely discussed on X, including the upload of the @elenarenoapada account on March 4. There he questioned the direction of Isyana Sarasvati's creativity which was different from the past.

"Honestly, I was really surprised by the change in Isyana Sarasvati, now more and more people are discussing this, there are speculations that he joined a sect like that, hopefully it's not true, honestly, I miss Isyana in the era of staying in the soul," he wrote.

The post was reposted a thousand times, with about five hundred replies. Indeed, the controversy about the difference in Isyana's identity now with the beginning of her career is not new. However, the issue related to Satanism makes it again widely discussed.

Regarding this crowd, Isyana has not given a personal response. However, Rayhan Maditra, her husband, wrote a response that represented her answer.

"A big test for a musician is when a work born out of honesty is interpreted in a very different way. Often assumptions come faster than the desire to understand," wrote Rayhan or also known as the moniker Mako.

In the upload shared by Isyana on her Instagram Story, Rayhan also hopes that this slander does not spread, especially in the middle of this holy Ramadan.

"May God protect us all from all forms of slander in this holy month. Amen," he hoped.

Eklektiko itself marks the fifth album journey from Isyana Sarasvati. The big change has happened since Lexicon as the third album, marking the arrival of a new era of Isyana who is increasingly expressive with the phase he is going through.
