Holidays in Bali are no longer just the beach, exclusive villas are the new attraction for tourists

BALI - Holidays in Bali often offer experiences that are not just about beach views or popular tourist destinations.

For some tourists, the attraction of this island also lies in the unique experience of staying, ranging from private villas in the middle of the tropical landscape to residences with designs that blend in with nature.

The trend of experience-based hospitality is now growing. Not only large hotels or resorts, a number of developers are also starting to present a limited residential concept that combines the comfort of living with a strong architectural character.

Seeing this opportunity, the Holywings Group introduced Holywings Collection, a line of properties and hospitality that is part of the company's business expansion in 2025. Until now, it is known through the entertainment and lifestyle business network, the group is now trying to expand a similar approach to the residential and accommodation sector.

"Through the Holywings Collection, we want to present a more personal and character hospitality experience. Bali has global appeal, so we see an opportunity to present a residential concept that is not only comfortable but also has a strong design identity," said a representative of the Holywings Group management.

The concept carried in this line focuses on property development with a limited number of units. This approach is chosen to maintain exclusivity and provide room for more mature design planning.

The developer also emphasized that the construction process was carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, including regarding spatial planning and environmental aspects in Bali.

For the interior and exterior design aspects, Holywings Collection collaborated with KantorGG, an architectural and interior design firm that has handled various projects in a number of countries. This studio is known for its contextual approach, namely designing buildings that consider the character of the landscape and the local culture around it.

This approach is visible from design elements that prioritize the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, such as large openings, open courtyards, to the use of natural materials that adapt to the tropical environment.

The first project in this line is Djelantik House, a premium villa complex consisting of four units. The villas are designed with a blend of modern architecture and natural elements, with building orientations that maximize the surrounding views.

Each unit presents a personally designed space, ranging from communal areas to private spaces that are made more intimate. The concept places the residence as a quiet place to rest in the midst of the dynamics of the Bali tourist area.

In addition, there is also the Aruna Ungasan project which is located in the Pandawa Uluwatu area, specifically in the Ungasan area. Located in an area with a fairly high elevation, this complex offers an open sea view and consists of only eight villas.

The location is relatively close to a number of beaches in South Bali as well as various lifestyle destinations, but is still designed to provide a more peaceful atmosphere. The building design utilizes natural lighting and cross-air circulation so that the space still feels cool in the tropical climate.

According to the management of the Holywings Group, the development of this project is based on the idea of presenting a residence that not only serves as a stopover, but also a living space that can be enjoyed in the long term.

"We see many people coming to Bali not only for vacation, but also looking for a more peaceful living experience and close to nature. The concept we developed tries to answer these needs," said the management.

Overall, the projects in the Holywings Collection emphasize the balance between architectural design, natural landscape, and modern lifestyles. The indoor-outdoor living approach, the use of natural materials, and the adjustment to the land contours are elements that are consistently applied.

The relatively limited number of units, four units in Djelantik House and eight villas in Aruna Ungasan, the developer places this project in a premium residential segment that prioritizes the quality of space and a more personal living experience.
