Government Provides Protection for Indonesian Citizens in Middle East Conflict Areas, Forms Crisis Response Team
Jakarta - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) has formed a crisis response team as a protection measure for Indonesian citizens (WNI) who are still in the Middle East region.
This was conveyed by the Acting Director of Indonesian Migrant Protection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heni Hamidah, in Jakarta, Friday, March 6. In line with the formation of the team, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strengthened coordination in monitoring the development of the situation on the ground.
In this case, Heni said that the Indonesian representative in the affected area continued to maintain intensive communication with the WNI nodes. To support the strengthening of coordination, the Indonesian representative also continues to update the data on the number and distribution of WNI in their respective accreditation areas.
