Dubai Route Flights from Ngurah Rai Bali Start Operating in Stages

DENPASAR - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, announced that international flights to Dubai using the Emirates airline began operating after the Dubai International Airport was gradually opened.

"We can inform you that Emirates has flown back one aircraft that had been staying overnight at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport since February 28," said Head of the Communication and Legal Division of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Friday, March 6.

Eka said the flight was EK369 which departed for Dubai (DBX) on Thursday (5/3) at 00.42 Wita yesterday with an Airbus A380 aircraft.

The flight was Emirates' first flight from Denpasar to Dubai after the closure of airspace and the impact of the Middle East conflict between the US-Israel and Iran.

The good news continues because international arrivals from Dubai to Denpasar are also operating again.

"As for this afternoon, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport served Emirates with flight number EK368 from Dubai, the flight using the Airbus A380 landed in Bali at 16.30 Wita," said Eka Sandi.

He ensured that airport managers continued to coordinate intensively with the affected airlines to monitor the latest operational situation because not all international flights to the Middle East route were opened.

If calculated since March 28, 2026, there are 64 international flight schedules that have been canceled, consisting of 34 departures and 30 arrivals. The flights are Qatar Airways for the Doha-Denpasar/Denpasar-Doha route, Emirates for the Dubai-Denpasar/Denpasar Dubai route, and Etihad for the Abu Dhabi-Denpasar/Denpasar Abu Dhabi route.

As many as 8,187 departing passengers from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport were affected by the cancellation of the flight.

However, Eka Sandi ensured that the handling of all passengers had been carried out in accordance with the policies of each airline.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has also anticipated plans to arrange parking for aircraft whose flights are affected, which is now allocated for four aircraft from three airlines.

"We also provide an airline help desk service area and coordinate with the Immigration Office to provide an immigration service counter for the management of the Forced Status of Residence (ITKT) for affected passengers," he said.

For the service area, the help desk and immigration service counter are located on the 2nd floor of the International Departure Terminal.

The airport authorities continue to appeal to prospective air passengers to continue to communicate with the airline for flight schedule updates.
