See Wife Begged, Husband Immediately Hit the Perpetrators with a Car

JAKARTA - The act of robbery with violence (begal) which occurred in the Pekayon area, South Bekasi was thwarted by the victim's husband. This incident became a concern after the video circulated on social media (medoso) Instagram.

South Bekasi Police Chief, Kompol Dedi Herdiana said the victim was a woman with the initials HER. At the time of the incident, HER was riding a motorcycle and passed through the location around 03.00 WIB on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

"Behind the husband followed using a car," he said when confirmed, Friday, March 6, 2026.

Then, the victim was suddenly ambushed by three perpetrators carrying a sharp-edged celurit. The perpetrators were suspected of wanting to seize the victim's motorcycle.

"The victim was riding a motorcycle in tandem with her husband. She was intercepted by three men. One of the perpetrators carried a machete and tried to seize the victim's motorcycle," he said.

Seeing his wife in danger, the victim's husband who was behind immediately acted quickly. He crashed his car towards the perpetrators to stop the robbery.

As a result, one of the perpetrators fell at the scene. Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators managed to escape.

"The victim's husband immediately crashed his car towards the perpetrator until he hit one of the perpetrators and fell," said Dedi.

The perpetrator who fell was then secured by the surrounding residents before being handed over to the police.

Currently, the perpetrator has been secured at the South Bekasi Police to undergo legal proceedings. Meanwhile, the police are still pursuing the other two perpetrators who fled.

"Members have been pursuing several locations, but so far the other two perpetrators have not been found," he concluded.
