Choi Woo Shik Gets a Deadline to Live in the Number One Film

JAKARTA - Choi Woo Shik is back on the big screen with his latest film, Number One. This film directed by Kim Tae Young is a story about a family from the perspective of a boy.

In addition to Woo Shik, the film is also starring Jang Hye Jin, Gong Seung Yeon, Kwon Da Ham, and Yoo Jae Myung.

Number One tells the story of Ha Min (Choi Woo Shik), an 18-year-old boy who starts to see the number 365 when he eats food made by his mother, Eun Sil (Jang Hye Jin).

The number continued to decrease and he believed that the number was a calculation of when the mother died. Therefore, Ha Min chose not to eat the food cooked by his mother.

This made him conflict with his mother. Years passed, Ha Min was still haunted by the numbers so he made a new decision.

Ha Min decides to start a new life with Ryeo Eun (Gong Seung Yeon) until something changes his life.

This film is a reunion between Choi Woo Shik and Jang Hye Jin after starring in Parasite. The two play the role of mother and son in the film Number One which makes the film even more special.

Number One is directed by Kim Tae Young who previously directed several films Set Me Free, Romance in Seoul, and Misbehavior.

The film Number One will be released starting March 11, 2026 in Indonesian cinemas.
