Insanul Fahmi Applies for Delay in Zina Case, Police: Process Still Going on
JAKARTA - Insanul Fahmi's efforts to delay legal proceedings on the report of alleged adultery and infidelity filed by his wife, Wardatina Mawa (WM), seem to have hit a dead end.
The Metro Jaya Police has firmly stated that it will continue to investigate the case.
Kasubbid Penmas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Andaru Rahutomo, confirmed the existence of a letter of request for postponement from Insanul Fahmi.
"It's true that IS brother sent a letter to the investigators containing information about the delay or suspension of the processing of the case," he said at the Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, March 5.
However, the request was not immediately granted. Kompol Andaru emphasized that investigators would continue to work professionally.
"Investigators remain professional. In this case, the report from the WM reporter will continue to be followed up professionally," he said.
The main reason for this rejection is that until now, there has been no letter of withdrawal of the report from the Mawa party as a reporter.
"Until now, investigators have not received an attempt to withdraw the report... so at this time, what investigators are doing is still professional in following up on existing reports," he explained.
Previously, Insanul officially submitted a letter of request for legal protection to various police agencies, asking that the report made by his wife be postponed.
"Yesterday I have submitted a legal protection letter to postpone the report submitted by my own wife, namely Wardatina Mawa," said Insanul Fahmi at the Metro Jaya Police, Monday, March 2.
The main reason behind this request is his strong desire to maintain his marriage.
"However, here I as a husband try and try to maintain my household," he said.
