Police Investigate Pengeroyokan Undip Student

SEMARANG - Polrestabes Semarang is investigating a case of alleged beating of a student of Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang with the initials A (20) who was allegedly abused by dozens of students immediately.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Police AKBP Andika Dharma Sena said that the incident of persecution which occurred on November 15, 2025 was immediately reported the next day.

According to him, the handling of the case has entered the investigation phase.

"It has entered the investigation, the legal handling continues according to the provisions," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 5.

In this case, he continued, there were around 20 people reported by the victim.

However, he said, investigators are still investigating the role of each of the reported parties.

A number of witnesses have also been questioned, including the victim's family and students who were at the location at that time.

Andika also invited any victims of sexual harassment allegedly committed by A to report to the police.
