Discount up to 50 Percent and Cultural Activation, Sarinah's Strategy to Attract Ramadan Visitors
JAKARTA - PT Sarinah (Persero) will hold a Happy Hours promo program entitled Malam Berkah Extra with discounts of up to 50 percent for all products and brands.
In addition, Sarinah also presents a series of cultural activations to attract more visitors during Ramadan 2026.
Through various promotional programs to cultural performances, the company targets an increase in the number of visitors by 15 percent compared to the same period last year.
Sarinah President Director, Raisha Syarfuan, said that the Extra Ramadan Blessing Night program took place from March 6 to 8, 2026 and was held at a special time, namely from 20.00-22.00 WIB every day.
"So there will be special promos for Sarinah visitors with discounts of up to 50 percent and we require all brands to participate," he said in an official statement, Thursday, March 5.
Raisha hopes that the program can be used by the community, especially after the holiday allowance (THR) is liquid and the work from anywhere (WFA) period begins, so that visitors can shop according to their needs with various attractive offers from Sarinah.
In addition, Raisha also opened the possibility of a discount period extended until Eid al-Fitr if the enthusiasm of visitors is high during the Extra Ramadan Blessing Night period.
Raisha said that in addition to being valid for retail tenants, various attractive offers are also applied to food and beverage outlets, including restaurants located in the Sarinah Mall area.
"Not only in department stores, in our F&B places, in our restaurants that are in department stores there will also be some programs to celebrate Eid," he said.
Raisha emphasized that Ramadan for Sarinah is not only a promotional momentum, but also a momentum to strengthen the company's positioning.
"We not only offer promotions, but also present a curated experience starting from the Extra Blessing Night as a transaction driver, Gema Ramadan which raises the tradition of Nusantara, to the focal point of the atrium which is a symbol of a shared space. We want every visit to Sarinah to feel meaningful, not just shopping," explained Raisha.
In addition to promotional programs, Sarinah also strengthens cultural activation through the Gema Ramadan series. This activation presents various Nusantara traditions such as torch and marawis parades in the Gema Lentera Ramadan, Rampak Bedug performances in the Gema Bedug Raya, Angklung performances with a touch of Ramadan, to the Ngabuburit activities at Sarinah which become a space for cross-community togetherness.
In terms of visual and space experience, Sarinah presents a focal point atrium with the concept of Nusantara Village which is inspired by the culture of South Sumatra. The installation of a tiered umbrella wrapped in 50 Palembang songket fabrics is the main visual point that strengthens the Ramadan atmosphere while presenting the warm atmosphere typical of the region's traditions.
In addition, a gazebo inspired by the carving of the Palembang Limas House will be installed starting March 9, 2026 as an installation center. This installation is not only a visual magnet and photo spot for visitors, but also functions as a point of free takjil distribution as a symbol of togetherness during Ramadan.
To support increased visits, PT Sarinah also adjusted operating hours during the Lebaran period. On the night of takbir, operations take place from 10.00 to 20.00 WIB, while on Eid al-Fitr, it opens from 12.00 to 22.00 WIB before returning to the normal schedule the next day.
The company also strengthened the number of employees during peak periods, provided free shuttle services from hotels around Sarinah Thamrin, and improved the security and maintenance of public areas to ensure visitor comfort during the Lebaran holiday momentum.
Raisha hopes that with these various programs, the number of visitors to Sarinah during the Ramadan period will be around 15 percent compared to ordinary days.
"So around March 6 to 13, we expect it to be a peak rather than traffic to Sarinah. So for us internally at Sarinah, we have calculated that there will be an increase of 15 percent compared to traffic," said Raisha.
