China to Increase Military and Combat Training in 2026

China will increase military exercises in 2026, according to a report delivered at the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC).

"[It is necessary] to make efforts to comprehensively advance military education and combat training, strengthen the dynamic advanced combat strength, and improve strategic capabilities to protect China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests," the report said, quoted by ANTARA from Sputnik, Thursday, March 5.

It is said that China will increase its efforts to unite Taiwan and take strong action against those who want Taiwan to be independent, and will not allow other countries to interfere in the matter.

The session of the NPC, the country's highest legislative body, opened in Beijing on Thursday and will last until March 12.
