Loud Explosion in the Sky of Dubai, UAE Says Success of Air Defense System
DUBAI - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said the loud explosion that occurred in the sky of Dubai on Thursday morning, March 5 local time, came from its air defense system.
"Authorities in Dubai confirmed that the sounds heard in various areas throughout the emirate were the result of a successful air defense deterrence operation," the official X account of the UAE Government media in Dubai, @DXBMediaOffice, wrote on Thursday, March 5.
The UAE said there were no fatalities or injuries during the explosion in the Dubai sky.
According to the UAE, its security and health officials are on full alert in response to the potential impact of Iran's retaliatory attacks on the US-Israel by destroying Western assets in the Middle East.
"The relevant teams continue to monitor developments closely and take all necessary actions to ensure the safety of everyone," the statement continued.
