The Beginning of the Alleged Land Mafia Case of Okan Kornelius
JAKARTA - Actor Okan Cornelius is currently fighting for the right to a plot of land measuring 1,100 square meters in the heart of Semarang City which is claimed to belong to his aunt, Shinta Condro.
Shinta Condro's lawyer, Sri Dheren, revealed that this struggle had begun since 1984.
"My mother has been fighting since 1984. For 41 years, my mother and her husband have fought for this land," he said at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Wednesday, March 4.
This case started from the alleged forgery of documents by a number of individuals.
"Initially, the forgery was carried out by the Lurah, by village officials... with several entrepreneurs," explained Dheren.
The individuals are suspected of issuing a fake Certificate of Right to Use Building (SHGB) on land owned by Shinta Condro. Although it has been reported, the SHGB which is considered legally flawed has never been canceled.
The peak occurred when the dead SHGB was actually used as a basis for issuing a new Certificate of Ownership (SHM).
"Based on the SHGB which has expired, which has died, can issue another SHM," he said.
Various efforts have been made, ranging from reporting to the BPN to the Semarang City Inspectorate. However, all of them seem to have hit a dead end.
Now, a new hope has emerged after this case has risen to the investigation stage at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police. "The case has developed in essence, it has risen to the fingerprint. So we appreciate it," said Dheren.
Okan Cornelius, who accompanied the aunt, also hopes that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. "At least this decades-long struggle has results like that," he hoped.
