Sopir Bus Transjakarta Jadi Tersangka Kecelakaan Adu Banteng di Kebayoran Lama

JAKARTA - Police have named a TransJakarta bus driver with the initials Y as a suspect in a bullfighting traffic accident that occurred on the 13th Corridor route from Puri Beta to Tegal Mampang, Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, on Monday, February 23, 2026.

"His status (the driver with the initials Y) is a suspect," said Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Komarudin when contacted by the media, Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Although he has been named a suspect, Komarudin said that the person concerned was not detained. He ensured that the legal process against the bus driver was still ongoing.

"Not detained. The process is still ongoing," he said.

In this case, the suspect was charged with Article 310 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transport related to negligence in driving which caused a traffic accident.

Previously, two TransJakarta buses were involved in a bullfight accident in Corridor 13, Kebayoran-Cipulir section on Monday morning at around 07.15 WIB. As a result of the incident, 24 passengers were injured.

The Head of the Traffic Police's Traffic Safety Sub-Directorate, AKBP Ojo Ruslani, said the accident occurred on a two-way TransJakarta lane that did not have a barrier. This incident involved two TransJakarta buses driven by Yayan and Arfan Sukoco.

"The TransJakarta bus with the police number B 7136 SGA driven by Yayan was traveling from Kebayoran to Cipulir. Meanwhile, the bus with the police number B 7353 TGC driven by Arfan Sukoco was traveling in the opposite direction, namely Cipulir to Kebayoran," he said.
