Menag on Iran vs Israel-US conflict: Not involved, I want to report Nuzulul Quran

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar gave a brief answer after arriving at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. He said his arrival was not accompanied by a detailed agenda, other than to report the plan for the commemoration of the Nuzulul Quran.

"Not yet, it has not been explained. We just want to report the Nuzulul Quran," Nasaruddin told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 4.

When asked about the Israel-US and Iran conflicts as well as the position of Islamic countries, Nasaruddin also emphasized that there had been no discussion.

"Not yet, we haven't ...," he said, without going into further detail.

He also stated that he was not involved in discussions among ulama regarding the issue.

"Not yet, yesterday, not involved. This is only to report the Nuzulul Quran," he said.

Regarding the location of the event, including the possibility of being held at the Istiqlal Mosque and whether President Prabowo Subianto will attend, the Minister of Religion said he would ask the President directly.

"Later we will ask the president," he said.

Asked again whether the President would attend Istiqlal, he replied, "Yes, we will ask later."

Closing his statement, he said, "God willing."
