Koops TNI Papua Takes Over Daniel Aibon Kogoya Group Headquarters in Nabire, Seized Ammunition and Money

Nabire - The headquarters of the armed group TPNBM-OPM led by Daniel Aibon Kogoya was successfully controlled by the Koops TNI Papua joint patrol in Nabire.

The headquarters is located in the area of the Head of Air Nabarua Atas, Kaliharapan Village, Nabire District, on Sunday, March 1. The operation from 10.00 WIT until the evening resulted in the domination of the location which is said to be the movement base as well as the logistics warehouse of the group.

According to the information from the Papua TNI Koops, the contact occurred when the patrol team approached the target point. The armed group then retreated and ran into the surrounding forest, leaving operational equipment at the location.

Head of Information Koops TNI Papua, Lt. Col. Inf. M. Wirya Arthadiguna said that a number of evidence was confiscated from the patrol.

The patrol team seized hundreds of rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 10 magazines for long-barreled weapons, 5 HT units, 12 mobile phones, cash of Rp. 79.7 million, as well as field attributes and equipment.
