Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Admits to Being Arrested by the KPK at the House with Central Java Governor Ahmad Lutfhi
Pekalongan - Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq denied being caught in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday morning. He admitted that he was visited by investigators while at home with Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi.
He made this confession when he was being escorted to the detention car that would take him to the KPK Detention Center, Wednesday, March 4. He officially wore orange overalls after undergoing an intensive examination.
"I'm not OTT, I don't have any goods taken, and at the time of my arrest, they raided the house, I was with the Governor of Central Java. So I don't have any OTT goods, for God's sake, there is none," Fadia told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 4.
Meanwhile, when asked why he was with Ahmad Luthfi, Fadia didn't say much. He only admitted that he was asking for permission not to attend the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) event.
"No, discussing the permit that I can't attend the MBG event tomorrow," said the singer of 'Cik Cik Bum Bum'.
Meanwhile, when asked about the alleged arrangement of the company for the procurement of goods and services in the environment of the Pekalongan Regency Government (Pemkab), Central Java, Fadia denied that he was a cawe-cawe.
"No, I didn't participate, it's not mine, I never participated. It's a family company, not me."
As previously reported, the KPK secured the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq along with his confidants and aides in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT). The three were taken by a team from Semarang City, Central Java.
In the second batch, 11 people were also secured and one of them was the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekalongan Regency, H. M. Yulian Akbar. These dozens of people were brought from Pekalongan Regency, Central Java using buses and arrived at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday night, March 3.
This silent operation is said to be related to the procurement of goods and services, including outsourcing personnel who fill a number of services.
From the activities carried out, the KPK seized electronic evidence (BBE) and four-wheeled vehicles. Meanwhile, regarding the discovery of money, no information has been provided.
