DPRD Chair: Cap Go Meh is Not Just a Ceremony, but Harmony

BOGOR - The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, emphasized that the Bogor Street Festival (BSF) Cap Go Meh (CGM) 2026 is not merely a cultural celebration, but a symbol of unity and harmony for the people of Bogor City.

"I see this not only as an annual ceremony, but a momentum that shows that Bogor residents are able to live side by side in diversity. This is the real face of Bogor," said Adityawarman when attending the celebration on Jalan Suryakencana, Tuesday, March 3.

He stated that the Bogor City DPRD fully supports the implementation of the festival, which has become a national tourism agenda. According to him, this activity not only strengthens the value of tolerance, but also has an economic impact for local business actors.

"We in the DPRD certainly fully support. Activities like this must be maintained because they have a positive impact on MSMEs, tourism, and the image of Bogor City," he said.

Adityawarman also appreciated the collaboration between the local government, the committee, the security apparatus, and the community so that the event involving thousands of people could run orderly and conducive.

"Collaboration of all parties is the key. With togetherness, events of this size can run safely and smoothly," he said.

He hopes that the spirit of harmony reflected in the celebration of Cap Go Meh can continue to be maintained in the daily lives of the people of Bogor City.

"Launch and make this event a success. Hopefully the spirit of unity that we see tonight will continue to be maintained, not only on the festival stage, but also in community life," he concluded.
