Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq 'Cik Cik Bum Bum' Becomes a Suspect After Being Caught by the KPK OTT
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has held an expose or trial after a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Tuesday morning, March 3. A number of parties are suspects, one of which is the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq who was also secured.
"The KPK has also determined the legal status of the parties who were secured within 1x24 hours," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, March 4.
From the information collected, Fadia's legal status was decided last night after the leadership held a joint exposure to the enforcement and execution authorities. He is suspected of violating Article 12 letter i of Law 31/1999 as amended by Law 20/2001 on Eradication of Corruption Crimes related to conflicts of interest in procurement.
The announcement of the suspects will be officially delivered by the anti-corruption commission later this afternoon.
"For the chronology, construction, and the parties designated as suspects, we will convey it in full," said Budi.
As previously reported, the KPK secured the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq along with his confidants and aides in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT). The three were taken by a team from Semarang City, Central Java.
In the second batch, 11 people were also secured and one of them was the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Pekalongan Regency, H. M. Yulian Akbar. These dozens of people were brought from Pekalongan Regency, Central Java using buses and arrived at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday night, March 3.
This silent operation is said to be related to the procurement of goods and services, including outsourcing personnel who fill a number of services.
From the activities carried out, the KPK seized electronic evidence (BBE) and four-wheeled vehicles. Meanwhile, regarding the discovery of money, no information has been provided.
