Xiaomi 17 Series Officially Launched, Brings Special Edition Phones in Indonesia
JAKARTA - Xiaomi 17 Series is officially available in Indonesia with three device models, including the standard Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and a new photography phone that is the result of a partnership with Leica.
These three devices offer different specifications, but with almost the same focus, namely an improvement in terms of cameras. Here are the latest specifications and innovations from each device that Xiaomi launched.
Xiaomi 17 Standard
The device comes with a compact design, only 8.06mm thick and weighing 191 grams. The phone uses an aluminum 6M42 frame and a screen with an ultra-slim bezel measuring 1.18mm.
Xiaomi 17 is powered by a custom M10 display panel that has a peak brightness level of up to 3,500 nits. The screen also adopts LTPO technology with an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz.
In terms of the camera, the Xiaomi 17 relies on a 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 main sensor. This camera system is equipped with a 60mm floating telephoto lens for portrait and macro photography needs.
The device supports a 6,330mAh battery that supports 100W HyperCharge fast charging. This battery uses 16 percent silicon content to keep energy high even though it is very thin.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra
The Ultra variant uses a 1-inch LOFIC main sensor called Light Fusion 1050L to improve HDR performance. The phone's camera uses a 200MP Leica lens with mechanical optical zoom capabilities up to a focal length of 400 mm.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor which integrates the Qualcomm Oryon Gen 3 CPU. This processor is supported by the latest Adreno GPU to handle heavy workloads and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This device uses the Xiaomi Guardian Structure with Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 protection which is claimed to be more resistant to impact. The thickness of this unit is only 8.29mm with IP68 dust and water resistance certification.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports 90W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge to charge a 6,000 mAh battery. The screen has HyperRGB technology for sub-pixel optimization to improve visual sharpness as well as power efficiency.
Xiaomi Leica Leitzphone
Xiaomi presents a special edition phone with an aluminum-alloy body coated with nickel-anodized material for extra durability. This device has the characteristic Leica Camera Ring with knurling texture for manual control.
The phone includes the Leica Essential mode which can reproduce the image characteristics of the classic Leica M9 and M3 cameras. The device interface has also been tuned specifically to provide an operational experience like a professional analog camera.
