Starmer said the delivery of the British military equipment had been coordinated with Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides.
Cyprus is known as the location of the British military base in the Middle East, which Starmer is welcome to use for the interests of his allies the United States (US)-Israel in the military operation to Iran to kill the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
"We are continuing our defensive operations and I have just spoken to the President of Cyprus to tell him that we are sending a helicopter with anti-drone capabilities and HMS Dragon will be deployed in the area," Starmer continued.
